On Friday the EBACC faculty were visited by year five students from some of our local primary schools. Together with some year 7 students we learned about human rights in the UK and the possibility of them changing in the future to a British bill of rights. Students considered the history of human rights, issues surrounding some specific rights and created their own set of rights (including a French translation!). At the end of the day, groups presented their ideas along with flags and symbols before having a vote. It was very difficult to vote for a winning group as each presented such fantastic ideas, this led to a tie between two groups. Lots of prizes and certificates were given out throughout the day for outstanding effort in different areas. We look forward to welcoming them again sometime soon.
