On Wednesday 14th September 2016, The Art Department organised their annual trip to Chester Zoo. Approximately 30 pupils attended the trip with a purpose of collecting Primary Research for their new Camouflage Project. Pupils collected an amazing array of photographs that focussed on animal markings, eyes, close ups and patterns associated with camouflage.
Pupil’s behaviour was exemplary and all of our pupils enjoyed taking on the role of young photographers on what was a splendid day – the weather was glorious!
On return back to school, pupils have produced some amazing moodboards and studies taken directly from their photographs collected on the day.
The Art Department are very excited to see the project develop which also includes a range of sampling of techniques and the construction of a 3D animal head.
