Enrichment Day Success Yesterday pupils in Years 7 – 9 took part in Enrichment Day. Pupils had a different timetable than normal and took part in some extremely interesting sessions. Pupils in Year 7 created eco-towns, learned about foreign language usage in Britain, designed gender-neutral T-Shirts and even participated a sweet-related Mini Parliament. Year 8’s looked at various gender-related topics including sports, passports and literature, debated how the Media influences us as people and created Best of British menus that had to consider other people’s beliefs about food whilst Year 9 looked in-depth at homophobic bullying, learned all about Ramadan and thoroughly enjoyed acting out made-up, topical “Jeremy Kyle” style scenarios. Both pupils and staff got a lot from the day and we have some fabulous work to show case!
