Dear Parents/Carers

I am writing to inform you formally about the building work that will commence from Monday 11th July 2016.

We are really fortunate to have secured approximately 1.5 million pounds to build new classrooms on the Maths block, refurbish a number of classrooms and replace all the single glazed windows in the main building. These improvements are really exciting and all work will be completed by Christmas.

Because of the scale of the building work the contractors will be setting up the site from the 11th of July 2016 to ensure students can move around site safely. As a result the Parkbrook entrance for dropping students off at the start of school day and picking up at the end of school day will not be available as it will be in use by the contractors. Pedestrian access will also not be available at this entrance.

The pedestrian entrance for students will be at the main gate only from the 11th of July till the end of term. We are conscious this will mean a number of parents will have to drop off and pick up on the streets located near to the school. Please be considerate of the local residents when parking and waiting for students.

Entrance by the main gate will remain the same for staff and visitors only. Please do not drop off in the main carpark as it causes a real danger to students when they leave the school site.

We are aware this will cause some disruptions to normal routines but we really appreciate your continued support as we start this very exciting building project.

Yours Sincerely

Mr. J Grant
Headteacher
