Year 8 Autumn Term – Native American art project
Create a Native American Title Page. Include at least 5 facts, images of Native American Art and your own Artwork. Fill the page.
Collect at least 4 Native American Designs that you particularly like. Bring them into school in a plastic wallet.
Complete your Native American Art tracing. Add finewriter outline to complete the piece.
Complete your oil pastel Native American Pattern study.
Complete your chalk pastel and finewriter design. Fill the A5 page.
Create the title “Native American Art” by using the fill technique on the computer, hand-drawing your patterns onto each letter or cutting out each letter from printed Native American Patterns. Each letter must be made individually and brought into class in a plastic wallet.
Produce a Native American collage by using a range of materials. Copy the colour scheme directly from your chosen image.
Year 9 Autumn Term – Pop art project
Create a Pop Art Title Page. Include at least 5 facts, images of Pop Art and your own Artwork. Fill the page.
Complete your Roy Lichtenstein tracing.
Create your name in separate letters and fill each letter with Pop Art design work. Add colour. Bring your individual letters into school in a plastic wallet.
Complete your Andy Warhol flip and trace design.
Research sweet wrappers and using ICT create an interesting composition by overlapping a range of wrappers. Print this off and bring into next lesson.
Upload a picture of yourself and save to your documents.
Create the title Pop Art by using mixed media and making sure that each letter represents the Pop Art Culture.
Complete your A3 Design Sheet.
Purchase a canvas ready to start your final piece. This can be any size and shape.
Year 9 Summer Homework
Produce two A3 Design Sheets.
Design Sheet 1 – Fill with patterns associated with close ups of animals.
Design Sheet 2 – Fill with patterns associated with camouflage patterns.
From your design sheets complete the following:
One A5 colour study (using any media).
One A5 tonal study.
One A5 mosaic.
Year 10 Autumn Term – Camouflage project
Complete your Chester Zoo photo mood boards.
Complete your Chester Zoo sketchbook.
Create a title “Camouflage Project” using individual lettering and capturing the camouflage theme. Use any choice of media.
Complete your camouflage project sheet.
Complete your drawing of a close up animal on your A2 paper and divide it up into at least 6-8 sections.
Produce a title for your Development Sheet. Use individual lettering and capture the camouflage theme. Use any choice of media.
Start to think about your lantern, what shape would you like it and what materials. Does this need to be made at home? If so ask someone to help you with the construction.
Design your sides for your lantern. Think about the techniques and themes that we have created so far. Draw your designs out in rough ready to present neatly on your Final Ideas sheet.

Year 11 Autumn Term – Architecture project
Year 11 Homework is on-going and directly linked to coursework. Pupils are completing the following pieces in their sketchbooks:
Title Page, Artist Research Pages, Brainstorm, Literacy, 2 x Zoom ins, Primary Research, Secondary Research, Artist Inspiration Pages, Development Pages, Design Idea 1, Design Idea 2, Final Design. Final Piece.
Pupils are also expected to catch up with any Camouflage and Culture Project work at home and during after school club.
