On Thursday this week, Shevington Vale Primary School’s Year 6 class enjoyed an afternoon of amazing science reactions hosted by Mrs Barrow and Miss Ashurst. Based on the theme ‘volcanoes’, the pupils worked their way through a series of chemical reactions involving gases emitted by volcanoes, to compliment their learning at KS2. From testing for carbon dioxide, to hydrogen balloons, the squeaky pop test and methane bubbles, the Yr6s were in their element! When asked to comment on her favourite part of the session, Beth said “seriously I couldn’t pick a favourite!”. A great afternoon, enjoyed by all!
