Today Shevington High School celebrated together as pupils received their GCSE results. Results increased significantly from last year with 71% achieving 5 A*-C including Maths and English and 75% achieving 5A*-C grades. There were many personal success and pupils were pleased to be able to confirm their plans to go onto college and apprenticeships.

Congratulations to Charlie Bennet and Madeline Wilcock who achieved 22 A*/A between them. Their achievements, and those of 14 more pupils who received 5 or more A*/A grades is even greater considering the national news that top grades are even harder to achieve. In total, 177 A*/A grades were collected by Shevington pupils this year. In a year when GCSE results have declined nationally, we are very pleased to be celebrating so many successes. We wish all our students the best of luck on the next step of their journey.
