On Friday 1st July, Ben Fairhurst, Lewis Heywood and Adam Burton joined by Mr Johnson, Mrs Owen and Mr Comerford attended Leigh Sports Village to represent Shevington High School in the 2016 Disability Games in the Boccia competition. Out of 12 teams in the competition, made up of schools from around the North West, Shevington Boccia team prevailed finishing second in their league and progressing to the semi-finals where they battled out a win to enter the final. There were some classy shots from Lewis Heywood and fantastic team play from Adam Burton and Ben Fairhurst which secured them a 5-0 victory over their rivals. They were crowned the 2016 Disability Games Champions. We are all very proud of this tremendous achievement. Well Done Lads!
