St Georges day seemed an appropriate day to mark the 100th anniversary of the beginning of world war 1. Pupils from year 9 History classes scattered poppy seeds in the school grounds as a symbol of remembrance. History classes have been leaning about World War 1 and the horrors of those years and this seemed a fitting way to commemorate all those soldiers who died during the years 1914-1918.

Hopefully as the poppies grow they will be a sign of permanent remembrance.
