A huge thank you to our 38 Year 7, 8 and 9 pupils who have taken part in an Arts Competition at Wrightington Hospital. All pupils were given the opportunity to have a tour of the hospital alongside a talk from one of their hip / knee replacement consultants – Dr Prubach.
Pupils were asked to design a piece of Art that use the stimulus of the hospital as a starting point. The Art Department hosted a workshop back at school were pupils had the opportunity to develop their ideas and designs.
A prize giving ceremony took place on Saturday 24th September at the hospital with a number of our pupils being awarded prizes for highly distinguished work. A huge well done to Ria Markland, Hollie Atkins and Emily Dalton whose work was chosen for its design and creativity.
The Art Department would like to congratulate in particular Georgia Clarke for winning the overall competition. Well done Georgia!
