60 Y3 pupils from Newfold Primary School attended an art workshop morning on Thursday 25th February. The theme of the event was linked to their current topic of Liverpool and the River Mersey. Pupils were inspired by the artist Peter Blake who has recently been commissioned to paint one of the ferry boats with his bold, bright colours and shapes. The once named boat ‘Snowdrop’ has been transformed into a Blake ‘Razzle Dazzle’ masterpieces.

Working with mixed media pupils designed and made their own architectural buildings linked to the artist’s work.

The art department were extremely pleased with the results and Mrs Fairhurst would like to especially thank the following Y7 pupils who offered amazing support throughout the morning:-
Lucy Jo Sculthorpe, Lizzie Hook, Ella Hirst, Georgia Clark, Abigail Lythgoe and Molly Tweedle
