Today at Shevington High School we have been celebrating National Pi Day. This day falls on Monday 14th March 2016, which is also Albert Einstein’s birthday.
Matthew Roberts said, ‘’I already knew pi to 20 decimal places; 3.14159265358979323846 but have learnt that pi is a character from the Greek alphabet. The Greeks discovered pi, I did not know this until today. My dad knows pi to 50 decimal places.’’.
William Birchall commented,nclThids is ‘’Today I have learnt the digits of pi to 8 decimal places 3.14159265. We created our own pi characters, then the whole of Year 7 went outside and stood in the formation of the symbol pi.’’.
