On Thursday evening, the cohort of 2015 gathered together with parents and staff to celebrate their achievements and examination success. The evening was a great success. It was a brilliant opportunity to reunite and share news of pupils’ continuing journeys into education and training. Pupils received their GCSE certificates and many pupils received awards for their performance in individual subjects or progress across a range of subjects. There were also a number of special awards. Olivia Kordinski was awarded the Carol Lawrenson Award for Scientist of the Year, Ewan Blackhurst received the Lesley Thomas Award for Careers, Dominic Bannister was awarded the Tony Quale Award for Poetry, Matthew Turner received the Rotary Club Award for Citizenship and Sarah Galloway was selected for the Katie Davies Memorial Trophy for Art. The evening was rounded off with an inspirational speech from our guest speaker, Mr Peter McGee, Principal of St John Rigby College who spoke about the importance of both hard work and self-belief in our quests for success.
