Some of our pupils have just returned from a fun filled weekend to Paris led by the Languages department. The four day trip was a great success and enjoyed by all.

After a very early start at 4am on Friday 14th October, we headed for Paris via the Euro tunnel and through Calais. We had a lovely first meal upon arrival at the PGL Château de Grande Romaine and, after such a long journey, some much needed sleep.
On Saturday morning, after a breakfast of pain au chocolat and croissants, we ascended the Eiffel Tower on foot, which was worth the achy muscles for the magnificent view from the second floor. We were extremely fortunate with the weather and it was glorious sunshine when we went on the boat cruise down the River Seine, sighting famous landmarks such as the Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay and Notre Dame.

The afternoon brought us to the Champs-Élysées, where the girls were desperate to visit Sephora whilst the teachers enjoyed café au lait at a small pavement café. This was a great opportunity to practise our French in shops.
Sunday brought the much anticipated adventure to Disneyland and we enjoyed such rides as Space Mountain and Indiana Jones. Everyone spent lots of money on toys and gifts

Before the long journey home on Monday, we stopped at a hypermarket to buy some tasty French cheese and other goodies. Unfortunately the trip had to come to an end and although tired, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and everyone went away with unforgettable memories.
