Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this letter finds you well and that you have enjoyed a restful and rejuvenating summer. As we prepare to embark on a new academic year, I am both honoured and excited to introduce myself as the new Headteacher of Shevington High School. This is a role I step into with great pride and deep respect for the trust that you, the students, and the wider community place in our school leadership.
As many of you may know, I have had the privilege of serving as Deputy Headteacher at Shevington High School over the last couple of years. During this time, I have worked closely with Mr. Grant, who has led our school with unwavering dedication, wisdom, and a true passion for education. Under his guidance, Shevington High School has flourished, achieving significant milestones in academic excellence, student welfare, and community engagement. His leadership has left an indelible mark on our school, and I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank him for his outstanding service. We owe Mr. Grant a great debt of gratitude, and he will be missed by staff, students, and parents alike.
Moving forward, I am committed to building on the solid foundation Mr. Grant has established. My time as Deputy Headteacher has afforded me a deep understanding of the strengths of our school, as well as the areas where we can continue to grow and improve. I am passionate about ensuring that every student at Shevington High School is given the opportunity to thrive, both academically and personally, and I am dedicated to fostering an environment where every child feels valued, supported, and challenged.
In the coming months, I look forward to working closely with you to ensure that we maintain our high standards and continue to strive for excellence in all that we do. Communication and collaboration between school and home are key to the success of our students, and I am committed to maintaining an open and transparent dialogue with all parents and guardians. I believe that by working together, we can create the best possible educational experience for your children.
I also recognise that the transition to a new headteacher can bring about a period of adjustment. Please be assured that I am fully committed to ensuring a smooth transition and that I am here to listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and work with you to address any challenges that may arise. We are committed to ensuring that parent and carer voices are heard and you are given the opportunity to feedback when we make decisions that impact all of our students.
In closing, I would like to express my sincere thanks for your continued support and trust in Shevington High School. I am excited about the journey ahead and confident that, together, we can achieve great things. Our students are at the heart of everything we do, and I am deeply committed to ensuring that Shevington High School remains a place where they can grow, learn, and succeed.
I will be writing to you again in the very near future to explain some of the changes we will be implementing this year. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to speaking to as many of you as possible in the coming weeks and to working together to make this academic year a successful and fulfilling one for all.
Thank you once again for your support. I am proud to be part of this wonderful community and excited to lead Shevington High School into the future.
Yours sincerely,
Mr J. Bennett
Headteacher
