Dear Parent / Carer

Further to my letter before half term regarding covid outbreak measures. This week I have met with Public Health and we will be continuing with some measures in line with other schools in the borough. Please see below a copy of the letter from Wigan Council which recommends that all students, visitors and staff are encouraged to wear face coverings in communal areas in all schools and colleges in Wigan with immediate effect.
Please note that this does not include during lessons / in classrooms, however students and staff may choose to wear them if they wish.

Over the last term, we have been providing face masks to students free during our outbreak management, however in light of the new guidance and ongoing costs we request that all students come to school with their own face coverings. Please ensure your child has a face mask unless exempt. The safety and well being of our students, staff and the wider community is paramount at all times and we thank you in advance for your support with this.

We would like to thank you for your continued support throughout the time we have implemented our outbreak management. Due to the support of pupils and staff following these measures we have been able to reduce the covid cases in school significantly and the effort of all of us in school is very much appreciated.

Yours sincerely

Mr J Grant
