Relationships and Sex Education
Thursday 23rd January 2020
The Department for Education is introducing Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education for secondary pupils from September 2020. Shevington High School is an “Early Adopter” school, which means we will be implementing the guidelines this current school year.
As part of this process we are consulting with parents in developing and reviewing our policies for RSE, which will inform decisions on when and how certain content is covered.
On Thursday 23rd January, you will have to opportunity to meet with key staff delivering the programme and this evening will provide the space and time for parents to input, ask questions, share concerns.
If you would like to attend this consultation, please contact the school to book your place then we can plan resources.
In the meantime, the DfE has put together a frequently asked questions page that may provide some insight.
