Shevington High School is part of the Kingsbridge EIP SCITT which provides ‘Outstanding’ teacher training. Kingsbridge is an organisation created through the joint work of a number of schools, providing School Centred Initial Teacher Training. (SCITT).
Teacher Training with the Kingsbridge Partnership has been rated ‘Outstanding’ on three consecutive occasions by Ofsted and has received great praise for the quality of provision. Many trainees go on to be employed in the partnership schools. The partnership has recently received a letter from Michael Wilshaw acknowledging that Kingsbridge is ‘exceptional’ and that ‘significant elements’ of our work are ‘exemplary.’

The SCITT programme has the advantage of completely immersing trainees in a school environment whilst also providing weekly training with the other trainees from the whole Partnership at the Kingsbridge centre.
