Shevington High School entered the world of the imagination today for World Book Day. Year 7 pupils and many staff have dressed up as their favourite book characters today in celebration of the event. We have enjoyed hearing from teachers about their favourite books as well. At lunch time, we hosted a ‘Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’ for Year 7. This was a great opportunity for a social event as well as to share our love for literature. The day was rounded off with a ‘Big Book Quiz.’ The whole day was enjoyed so much that the suggestions are rolling in for next year’s celebration. Look out for more coverage of this event in our BBC News Report next week.
