On Monday, 7.3 took part in a Mandarin Excellence Day at the University of Leeds. Students had the amazing chance to meet thefamous Chinese children’s author Lin Manchiu, whose book ‘The Ventriloquist’s Daughter’ they have been studying in their lessons. After this, our pupils took part in three superb workshops throughout the day. They also practised speaking Chinese in preparation for their upcoming Hurdle Tests. In the afternoon, students then took part in a fantastic song writing workshop followed by a calligraphy and painting workshop.
7.3 really enjoyed their time at the University of Leeds, where they got to experience further aspects of Chinese culture and get some vital preparation for their upcoming assessment. Well done 7.3 and thank you to Leeds University and MEP for organising the event!
