On Friday 13th November all Year 11 pupils took part in our yearly Preparation for Work Day. This is an inspirational event during which pupils dress in formal work wear and take part in a series of workshops related to preparing for the world on work, as well as being interviewed by local employers.
During the day, Y11 pupils demonstrated their maturity and capability to engage in a work environment. The event, which took place at a local hotel, gave pupils a real experience of many aspects of employment. As well as taking part in the individual interviews, pupils also completed workshops about interview skills, writing CVs, completing application forms and applying for apprenticeships. Their conduct and engagement during the whole day was incredible and they really did show that they have learnt many of skills needed to move into the world of work.
Thank you to all of the interviewers who provided such an amazing interview experience for the pupils and also to all those staff who helped to make the whole day a huge success.
