We are looking for an Assistant Headteacher with a focus on Teaching, Learning, Pastoral Support to join our Senior Leadership Team.

We need a strong, effective practitioner and leader who will bring their passion for education and school leadership to this exciting role.

  • To play a key role in the leadership and management of the school with particular reference to developing teaching, monitoring and supporting student progress and achievement.
  • To support students to achieve the highest standards of attainment and progress that they are capable of, and to develop their independence as learners, enabling them to access their chosen next destination.
  • To contribute to the culture of academic innovation and enrichment.
  • To support, develop and hold accountable Heads of Subjects in empowering all their students to achieve or exceed their potential.
  • To lead and develop a key area of the schoolʼs academic strategy (depending on the strengths and skills of the post holder).
  • Be mindful of staff and student workload and wellbeing while fulfilling all aspects of the role.
  • As part of the Senior Leadership Team, contribute to whole school Leadership and Management.

We are seeking to appoint a committed Site Manager to assist with the provision of efficient and effective site services, maintenance and security of the school site.

Duties will include strategic contribution and development to the school premises and to take an active lead in the planning, development and implementation of the day-to-day management of the school’s facilities and site staff duties.

Candidates will be adaptable with the ability to respond to emergency situations and also assist with first aid when required, being willing to undertake relevant training.  The post holder will also be required to drive the school minibus.

The successful candidate will have experience of building maintenance and be willing to work occasional weekends and evenings.

Learning Support Assistant

30 hours per week (term time only)

The post holder will provide support to teaching staff and students, overseeing access to learning and support programmes and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils.

The successful candidate will provide support for SEND pupils providing particular help for those students with learning difficulties and/or behavioural, social or physical disabilities and may be required to supervise whole classes when required in the short term absence of a teacher. To attend to pupils personal needs including toileting, hygiene, dressing, eating and giving minor medical support.  Experience as a teaching assistant of caring background would be beneficial.
